Transportation Coordinator

CareCore at Lima is seeking a dependable, organized, and resident-focused Transportation Coordinator to join our team! This position is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations while helping ensure transportation needs are coordinated efficiently.

Schedule

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Weekend Availability: Some weekends may be required based on resident appointments and facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations

• Coordinate and maintain resident transportation schedules

• Communicate appointment and transportation information with residents, families, nursing staff, and facility leadership

• Assist residents with safely entering and exiting the company vehicle

• Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean, safe, and ready for use

• Maintain appropriate transportation documentation and records

• Provide excellent customer service and compassionate support to residents

• Assist with additional duties within the facility during downtime when no transports are scheduled, as assigned by the Administrator

• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age to operate the company vehicle

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required

• Reliable, responsible, and comfortable transporting residents

• STNA/CNA or DSP experience strongly preferred

• Previous experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare setting is a plus

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be flexible to assist with other facility needs when transportation duties are completed

• Must be available for occasional weekend transportation needs as required
