Dietary Cook

Cook – Part-Time & Per Diem

Pay Range: $19-$22

Pendleton Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking dependable and motivated Cooks to join our Dietary Services team. We currently have both Part-Time and Per Diem opportunities available.

Our cooks play an important role in providing our residents with nutritious, enjoyable meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements

• Follow resident diet orders, including modified and therapeutic diets

• Ensure meals are prepared and served at the appropriate temperature and on schedule

• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control standards

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area

• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies

• Follow all facility policies and applicable food safety requirements

• Work collaboratively with Dietary Services and other members of the Pendleton team

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred

• Healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, or institutional food service experience is a plus

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions

• Dependable and able to work as part of a team

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a kitchen environment

We are currently hiring for:

• Part-Time Cook

• Per Diem Cook

Availability may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
