GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Motivated, responsible, enthusiastic, kind individual who works under direction of Director of Activities by assisting in carrying through activity programs that are designed to meet the needs of every resident.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

1. Assures that every resident is informed of activity program:

 

A. Posts monthly calendar on each floor.

B. Distributes copies of monthly calendar to each resident’s room.

C. Lists daily programs on daily board.

D. Announces activities, prior to beginning, on the PA system.

E. Interviews residents and conduct computer assessments.

F. Assist in coordination of resident activities.

 

 

2. Maintains appropriate records relating to program attendance and individual visits for residents. Records comments in resident record as directed.

 

3. Attends in-service programs as directed.

 

 

4. Other related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Education: Ability to read, write and understand English-CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT 

 

· Work Experience: 1 year exp. in LTC Activities or as CNA

 

Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

· Lifting: 20 lbs

· Bending: Assists in recreation programs

· Pushing: 150 lbs in wheelchairs

· Standing/Sitting

· Reaching: Storage and decorating

· Hearing: In high or low tone, clearly to be understood by residents

· Speaking: In high or low tone, clearly to be understood by residents
