Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Golden Legacy Care Center is hiring afternoon shift (3PM-11PM) Certified Nursing Assistants! 

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 DOE

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT OBJECTIVES:

• Works under the supervision of the Charge Nurse to provide assistance with activities of daily living for our residents according to policies and procedures established by Golden Legacy Care Center.

• Provides a safe environment, physical comfort, emotional and social support to our residents.

OPEN SHIFTS:  Evening (3PM - 11PM)

CNA STANDARDS:

• Ability to read, write and understand English.

• Ability to verbally communicate with Residents, Families, and co-workers.

• Patience is very important and teamwork.

• Must be honest, dependable and able to exhibit a caring manner toward residents.

• Must be able to safely perform the Essential Job Functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL CNA FUNCTIONS:

• Answers call lights to determine and meet resident needs.

• Provides personal hygiene including bathing, oral care, skin care, nail care, dressing, undressing, and shaving for residents.

• Makes beds correctly and change linen.

• Assists with toileting, including bowel and bladder re-training and incontinent care. Serves and collects food trays.

• Feeds and or Assists residents to eat.

• Records dietary intake correctly, passes nutritional snacks and records intake and output as requested.

• Weighs residents as requested.

• Performs and assists with mobility, transferring, ambulation, positioning, and range of motion using assistive devices as required.

• Uses proper body mechanics when necessary.

• Assures Resident Rights and privacy maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information.

• Observes and reports medical and/or behavioral changes in residents immediately.

• Performs rounds per protocol and PRN if needed.

• Observes universal precautions for infection control including good hand washing and isolation techniques.

• Follows all safety rules.

• Meets required in-service attendance.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor, DON, and Administrator

Required Experience:
*Experience is a Plus but not necessary
*New Grads are Welcome, don't wait till you get your CNA card in the mail
*Bring proof of Passing State tests or current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) card.
*CPR
*Bring ID (i.e. Drivers License and Social Security or passport is ok also)
* Must have an Active Nursing certificate.

• 7.5 Hour Shift on a rotation where you work four days on and two days off

• Evening shift 3:00PM-11:00PM
