Central Supply

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies, nursing supplies, and equipment.

• Receive, inspect, organize, and store incoming supplies in designated storage areas.

• Distribute supplies to nursing units and departments as requested.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.

• Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates to prevent expired or damaged products from being used.

• Maintain clean, orderly, and properly stocked supply rooms and storage areas.

• Ensure supplies are stored according to manufacturer instructions and infection control standards.

• Assist with monthly inventory counts and supply ordering.

• Monitor supply usage and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies.

• Follow facility policies and procedures, including infection prevention and safety protocols.

• Maintain accurate inventory and distribution records as required.

• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, department heads, vendors, and facility management.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
