$2.50 - Weekend Day
$3.00 - Weekday Evening/Night

Responsibilities:

Registered nurses are the heartbeat of healthcare, wearing many hats every day to provide exceptional care to their patients. Their primary mission is to ensure that every resident receives the precise, compassionate care they need to thrive.

• Assists in planning and implementing the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing setting with the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Represents Nursing Services on various committees, i.e., Infection Prevention and Control, and Performance Improvement.

• Participates in the performance improvement functions by collecting and verifying data, as needed. Ensures required nursing audits are completed and delegated as needed or requested.

• Treats residents and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of residents and their families.

• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the residents and family regarding pain management. Communicates to medical and IDT any time resident’s trigger for pain, ensures residents pain is addressed.

• Completes an accurate individualized comprehensive care plan for all assigned residents, completes a thorough RN assessment and record review to direct care planning. Consults with residents’ family and staff regarding care preferences and care planning.

• Works closely with MDS department to ensure accurate and adequate documentation of ADL and nursing notes are in place for reimbursement.

• Demonstrates ability to delegate tasks appropriately, supervise LPNs and CNAs, exhibits follow through and follow up with delegated tasks.

• Provides RN assessments of resident required for accident/incidents, acute changes in condition, admissions, MDS and care planning.

Professional Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.

• Current Licensed Registered Nurse in State of New York

• Current CPR certification.
