Dietary Aide

Schedule: Part-time Evenings

We are seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment for our residents. The Dietary Aide will help ensure meals are prepared and served according to residents' dietary needs and facility procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks to residents

• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals

• Deliver meals and trays to resident rooms as needed

• Follow residents' diet orders and special dietary requirements

• Assist with portioning and plating meals

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment

• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas

• Stock and organize food and kitchen supplies

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

• Report any concerns regarding meals, dietary needs, or resident preferences to the appropriate supervisor

• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide quality meal service

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous food service, dietary, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred but not always required

• Healthcare, nursing home, senior living, or institutional food service experience is a plus

• Must be dependable, organized, and able to work as part of a team

• Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation procedures

• Must be comfortable working with elderly residents and in a healthcare environment
