Respiratory Therapist

Ditmas Children's Nursing  & Rehab  is looking for a kind and compassionate Respiratory therapist to join our amazing team. This is a great and unique opportunity to work with a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team to treat children of varying diagnoses in a pediatric nursing facility. The individual should have a positive attitude, good energy, and a passion to serve the pediatric population with healthcare needs in the Brooklyn and NYC areas.

This is a Full Time/ Per-Diem position. We are looking for weekday,  weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description:

• Consult with medical provider to develop patient treatment plans.
• Treat patients by using variety of methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Monitor and record medical progress.
• Initiates, monitors, and weans patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Administration of oxygen therapy.
• Be part of a team that focuses on residents pulmonary and rehabilitative function.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• A graduate of a nationally approved respiratory care program.
• New York State respiratory licensure.
• BLS required.
