Available Shift(s): 11PM - 7AM | Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
Compensation: $17.50 - $22.00, based on experience + applicable shift differentials ($3.00/hour on Saturday and Sunday) 
Position Status: Non-Exempt 

About the Role 

Colonial Fox Den is a small, tight-knit community with a small staff of 19 team members and 36 resident rooms. We're looking for a dependable Overnight Aide to provide residents with support, reassurance, and a safe environment throughout the night. 

You'll respond to resident needs, provide medication supervision, conduct rounds, complete documentation, and assist with laundry and light housekeeping. This position works independently as the only staff member onsite during the overnight shift and must remain awake for the entire shift, so we're looking for someone comfortable taking ownership and remaining attentive throughout the night. 

What You'll Do 

• Receive report from the outgoing shift and review resident notes. 

• Respond promptly to resident call bells and telephone calls. 

• Carry the facility phone and pager throughout the shift. 

• Complete regular hallway rounds and resident checks. 

• Provide medication supervision in accordance with established procedures. 

• Maintain required resident documentation. 

• Help maintain building security, including checking exterior doors. 

• Complete assigned resident laundry while ensuring belongings remain properly separated and returned. 

• Assist with light housekeeping and tasks left from the previous shift. 

• Communicate important resident needs or concerns to the incoming team. 

• Remain alert, awake, calm, and prepared to respond appropriately in an emergency. 

What We're Looking For 

• No formal education or license requirement identified for the position. 

• No prior experience required; caregiving experience, particularly with older adults, is preferred. 

• Reliable and comfortable working independently overnight. 

• Ability to remain awake and attentive throughout the entire shift. 

• Strong judgment and ability to remain calm during emergencies. 

• Compassionate, friendly, and resident-focused approach. 

• Ability to understand written and spoken English.
