Accela Rehab & Care Center at Manalapan is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. The Laundry Aide plays an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment for our residents by ensuring their clothing, linens, and other laundry items are properly cleaned, handled, and distributed.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing, linens, towels, and other laundry items.

• Operate laundry equipment safely and follow established procedures.

• Handle laundry products and cleaning supplies according to facility guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area.

• Follow infection control procedures when handling soiled laundry.

• Ensure residents' personal clothing is properly identified and returned to the appropriate individuals.

• Report equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow facility policies and safety guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with other departments to support residents' comfort and well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.

• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting laundry loads as needed.

• Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents.
