What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Assistant at Evercare at Stearns, you will work closely with our Maintenance Director and community leadership to ensure our building is maintained to the highest standards.

• Assist with daily maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the community.

• Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and other building systems within your level of training and expertise.

• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and staff.

• Help maintain resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and facility grounds.

• Assist with routine safety inspections and ensure maintenance activities support applicable safety and regulatory standards.

• Identify potential maintenance and safety concerns and communicate them to leadership.

• Support resident room preparations, furniture moves, and facility improvement projects.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist with emergency maintenance needs and participate in occasional on-call duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Previous maintenance or general repair experience preferred.

• Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial building maintenance is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general building repairs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• A dependable, organized, and safety-conscious approach to work.

• A friendly, respectful attitude when interacting with residents, families, and coworkers.

• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
