Position Overview

Extended Care, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our team at our Evanston, Illinois Support Office.

The ideal candidate will have prior long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes within the healthcare or senior care environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and other supporting records when applicable.

• Prepare and process vendor payments according to established payment schedules.

• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.

• Communicate with facility personnel and vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries.

• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records.

• Assist with month-end closing activities and A/P reporting.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures.

• Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or nursing home accounting is required.

• Prior accounts payable experience preferred.

• Knowledge of vendor invoice processing and payment procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Experience with accounting software preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range: $38,000–$50,000 annually, depending on experience.

Work Location

This is an on-site position at our Support Office in Evanston, Illinois. This position is not eligible for remote work.
