About the Role 

As a Laundress, you'll help make sure residents have clean clothing and linens available every day while supporting infection prevention, resident dignity, and overall center cleanliness. 

This role is responsible for the full laundry process—from collection and sorting through washing, drying, folding, and distribution.  

What You'll Do 

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, press, and distribute clothing and linens.  

• Identify items requiring special handling or stain treatment.  

• Maintain adequate linen supplies throughout the center.  

• Coordinate laundry needs with nursing when necessary.  

• Operate laundry equipment safely and report problems promptly.  

• Follow appropriate chemical-handling procedures.  

• Keep the laundry room and equipment clean and organized.  

• Follow infection-control, privacy, dignity, and safety requirements.  

• Complete required laundry documentation.  

What We're Looking For 

• High school diploma or GED.  

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and efficiency.  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

• Friendly, professional, and caring approach.  

• Prior laundry or environmental-services experience in a healthcare or institutional setting preferred.
