Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Help children build the everyday skills that make home, school and play feel possible. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at It Takes THE VILLAGE, you will carry out thoughtful treatment plans under the guidance of an experienced occupational therapist, and you will never be doing it alone: our OT team works alongside speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts and mental health therapists, so every child's care fits together.

PAY: $37–$46 per hour, depending on licensure and experience.

ABOUT IT TAKES THE VILLAGE

Since 2012, we have brought behavioral health (including ABA therapy), mental health, speech therapy and occupational therapy together in El Dorado Hills, so families work with one coordinated team instead of four separate offices. We serve children, teens, adults and couples at our clinic, in the community and at school.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Some positions are based at our El Dorado Hills clinic. Others are school-district contract assignments at school sites. Positions are full-time or part-time, and we are glad to talk about a schedule that works for your life.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Carry out treatment plans set by the supervising OT, adapting activities to each child.

• Support daily living skills, play, sensory regulation, and fine and gross motor development.

• Track progress and keep clear, timely session documentation.

• Communicate openly with your OT supervisor, families, teachers and other providers.

WHAT YOU BRING

• An active California COTA license and NBCOT certification.

• A warm, family-centered approach and a collaborative style.

• The independence to manage a caseload under OT supervision.

• Helpful, not required: pediatric experience, including autism, ADHD or sensory differences. Recent graduates with a California license are welcome to apply.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Pay of $37–$46 per hour, depending on licensure and experience.
