Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Practice occupational therapy with a team that treats the whole person. At It Takes THE VILLAGE, occupational therapists are supported by speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts and mental health therapists in El Dorado Hills, sharing goals and progress so each person's care fits together.

PAY: $52.50–$67.50 per hour, depending on experience.

ABOUT US

It Takes THE VILLAGE is a therapeutic community for children, families, adults and couples who need extra help at home, in the community and at school. Since 2012, we have brought behavioral health (including ABA therapy), mental health, speech therapy and occupational therapy together in one place, so families work with one coordinated team.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Some positions are based at our El Dorado Hills clinic. Others are school-district contract assignments at school sites. Positions are full-time or part-time, and we are open to talking about a schedule that works for your life.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide practical support for the skills, routines, play and sensory experiences of everyday life.

• Build care plans around each person's goals, and revisit them with the family.

• Partner with families, teachers and other providers around goals that matter to them.

• Share goals and progress with colleagues in speech therapy, behavioral health and mental health.

• Keep clear, timely clinical documentation.

WHAT YOU BRING

• An active California occupational therapy license and OTR/L credentials.

• A warm, family-centered approach and a collaborative style.

• Helpful, not required: experience with children, including children with autism, ADHD or sensory differences. New graduates with a California license are welcome to apply.
