Operations Manager – Clinical Service Lines

Trio Health Partners | Evanston, IL (on-site, corporate office)
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $100,000 – $125,000 per year

About Trio Health Partners

Trio Health Partners provides advanced practice provider services, including internal medicine, psychiatry, infectious disease, physiatry, and behavioral health, to skilled nursing facilities across Illinois. Our Nurse Practitioners and therapists work on-site with facility teams to deliver proactive, high-quality care to post-acute and long-term care residents.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Operations Manager who likes owning results. In this role, you’ll run the day-to-day operations of three growing clinical service lines: Infectious Disease, Psychiatry, and Physiatry. You’ll work closely with Medical Directors, clinical leaders, and facility partners to keep providers productive, referrals moving, and service lines healthy and growing.

This is a role for someone who spots problems early, builds a plan, and sees it through. As Trio grows, so will the opportunity to take on broader leadership responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Own service line performance. Track census, referrals, productivity, and profitability. When numbers fall short, find out why, build an action plan, and follow through.

  • Drive provider accountability. Hold regular performance conversations with providers, follow up on missed visits, documentation delays, and scheduling issues, and complete annual performance reviews with input from Medical Directors and Team Leads.

  • Keep referrals moving. Review diagnosis and referral data to make sure patients who need Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, or Infectious Disease services are connected to them, and that every referral is followed up.

  • Manage scheduling and coverage. Approve provider schedule requests, close coverage gaps, and coordinate weekday-to-weekend handoffs.

  • Partner with facilities. Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership, resolve service concerns, and find opportunities to expand services in current partner facilities.

  • Report and act on data. Review and share productivity, census, profitability, and patient monitoring reports, and pair each issue you find with an action plan.

  • Support providers and systems. Oversee provider-facing platforms (EMR, documentation, scheduling, and revenue cycle tools), troubleshoot routine issues, monitor documentation timeliness, and help providers adopt new tools.

  • Hire and onboard. Conduct operational interviews and coordinate smooth, accurate onboarding for new providers.

  • Improve how we work. Identify process improvements, implement them, and measure the impact.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare operations

  • Experience owning a team or multiple service lines

  • Comfort working with dashboards and analyzing productivity and profitability data

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with facility leaders, providers, and executives

  • Ability to quickly learn EMR, scheduling, and revenue cycle management (RCM) systems

  • Sound judgment, independence, and a bias toward action

  • No clinical license required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, or a multi-provider medical group

Benefits

  • Healthcare and 401(k) benefits

  • Paid time off: 15 days PTO plus 6 paid holidays
