Elite Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center is seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our rehabilitation team.

Our in-house subacute rehabilitation program is committed to helping residents and patients regain strength, mobility, independence, and confidence following illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization.

We are looking for team-oriented professionals who are passionate about providing quality, individualized rehabilitation services in a supportive skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve patients' functional abilities, mobility, strength, balance, and overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering excellent patient-centered care.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with established plans of care and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, strengthening, balance, coordination, transfers, and functional mobility.

• Help patients improve walking ability, endurance, and independence with activities of daily living.

• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Document treatments, patient progress, and clinical information accurately and timely.

• Maintain patient safety and follow infection control and facility policies.

• Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.

• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and positive approach with patients, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current and valid Alabama Physical Therapist Assistant license.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred.

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, transfer techniques, gait training, and mobility interventions.

• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Compassionate attitude and genuine desire to improve patients' quality of life.
