Position: Full-Time Lead Chef / Cook
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Days: Monday–Friday and every other weekend

Position Overview

Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Chef / Cook to join our Dietary Department.

The ideal candidate will have culinary training, experience in long-term care, and a commitment to preparing quality meals for our residents.

Qualifications

• Culinary training or certification required.

• Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a long-term care setting.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.

• Follow established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.

• Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.

• Assist with daily kitchen operations and meal preparation.

• Work collaboratively with Dietary Department staff to ensure timely meal service.
