Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Director to help keep our skilled nursing facility safe, comfortable and well maintained. This hands-on position supports the Maintenance Director with daily repairs, preventive maintenance and building operations.

Assistant Maintenance Director Responsibilities

• Perform general building repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting and carpentry.

• Complete preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.

• Assist the Maintenance Director with daily assignments, inspections and maintenance records.

• Help maintain compliance with applicable life safety, fire safety and facility requirements.

• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as assigned.

• Identify and promptly report equipment failures, safety hazards and repair needs.

• Complete work safely while respecting residents’ privacy, comfort and daily routines.

Assistant Maintenance Director Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility required.

• Working knowledge of general building maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance.

• Familiarity with life safety requirements in a healthcare setting.

• Ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize assignments and follow through on repairs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff and vendors.

• Supervisory or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
