This job

A caregiver job that starts in Wellton, not with a drive to Yuma. Our William Street office covers Wellton, Tacna, Roll, Dateland, and the farms and ranches in between, and we are hiring people who already live in east Yuma County to care for seniors and veterans in their own homes.

Shifts out here

Visits run two to six hours. Some clients need a morning and an evening visit, some need one long block, and a few need overnight help. Distances are real, so we group your clients by area and pay the same rate for every hour, days or weekends.

What you do on a visit

Bathing, dressing, and grooming. Cooking, dishes, laundry, and keeping the house safe. Medication reminders for medications the client manages. Driving the client to appointments in Wellton or Yuma when the care plan includes it. Noticing changes in health or mood and reporting them to your supervisor. Out here a visit from you may be the only one that day, so the company matters as much as the chores. Notes go in our mobile app, and clock in and out is by phone. Cell coverage handles it.

Who we are looking for

Someone who has already done this for a year or more, for pay or for their own family, and who has a license and a vehicle that will make it to Dateland and back. We run a background check and provide onboarding and training. Most of all, someone who shows up, because a Wellton client may have exactly one visit that day and it is yours.

Pay

$16.50 to $18.25 an hour on a W-2, same rate on weekends, raises tied to experience and performance.
