Pay and schedule

$16.50 to $18.25 per hour based on experience, paid W-2. Full time and part time. Hours in the Foothills grow every October when the winter residents come back, and caregivers who want more hours between October and April usually find them here.

The clients

Retirees in Fortuna Foothills, east Yuma, Ligurta, and the neighborhoods along Interstate 8 who want to stay in their own homes. Many are veterans we serve through the VA Community Care Network. Some have spent thirty winters out here and know the Foothills better than we do. They want a caregiver who is calm, on time, and good company.

The work

Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming in the morning. Meals and a clean kitchen. Light housekeeping and laundry. Medication reminders on the client's schedule. Rides to the doctor, the pharmacy, church, or the grocery store when the care plan includes them. Conversation, walks, cards, and the small things that make a day worth getting up for. At the end of each visit you note anything new in our phone app and tell your supervisor the same day if something has changed. You clock in and out by phone.

What you need

1. At least one year of caregiving experience, paid or caring for your own family.

2. Patience and the kind of reliability that makes a client's family comfortable handing you a key.

3. A background check and our onboarding and training, which we provide.

4. A valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle, strongly preferred in this territory.
