Family Member Paid Caregiver

$18.25 per hour, W-2. Full time or part time. Caring for your own family member.

Out here, family takes care of family. If you live in Wellton, Tacna, Roll, Dateland, or anywhere in east Yuma County and you are the one caring for your mom, dad, husband, wife, grandparent, or another relative, this job pays you for it. Your family member needs to have ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care through AHCCCS) or be able to qualify for it.

How it works, step by step

1. Apply here. Within minutes you get an email and a text with a short set of questions.

2. Answer them and pick an interview time.

3. If your relative already has ALTCS, we set up the care plan and your start date.

4. If your relative does not have ALTCS yet, our case managers walk you through the application at no cost, and you start once it is approved.

5. If you are already paid through another agency, we handle the paperwork to move the care to SYNERGY HomeCare of Yuma. Experienced ALTCS caregivers are welcome.

The work

Helping with washing up and getting dressed, cooking, keeping medicine on schedule, keeping the house safe and tidy, and being there, which out here can be the whole point. Everything follows the plan the health plan signs off on, your hours included, and you log each visit on your phone in about a minute.

What you get

W-2 employment at $18.25 per hour. Paid sick time. Medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees. Direct Care Worker training provided, no prior certification needed. A Wellton office on William Street. Locally owned since 2013, voted Yuma's Best ten years in a row.

Requirements

18 or older, authorized to work in the United States, able to pass a background check, willing to complete onboarding and training, and able to follow a care plan and document visits.
