Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Ocean County , NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

We have various schedules in different areas:

1.Monday 5 Hours. Flexible. 1 Friday a month 5:00pm-9:00pm

2. Tuesday's 4 PM

3. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m

4. Wednesday 2:00pm

5. Wednesday & Thursday-2 hrs wkly

6. Weekdays after 2:00pm/ Weekends open

7. One day during the week (12P-2P), (1P-3P) or similar timeframes.

8. Tues/Thurs 9A-2P

9. Tues/Fri 10A-2P or 3P or 12P-5P.

10. Days vary due to work schedule. Flexibility needed Mon-Friday (10:30 AM-3:30 PM) up to 3 days per wk.

11. Friday 2p-6pm

12. Monday to Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm

13.M-F 12:30-3p

14. Wed or Frid 12-4p

15.Mon & Wed 9:30A-3:00P

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed)

Supporting housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning)

Preparing meals according to dietary needs

Teaching and reinforcing independent living skills

Following individualized service plans and behavior support strategies

Providing transportation to appointments and community activities

Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities

Promoting safety and well-being at all times

Maintaining professional communication with guardians and agency staff

The individual is seeking a DSP who is comfortable with:

Building routines and structure

Encouraging independence and participation

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Ability to pass background checks and drug screening

Authorized to work legally in the United States
