Recreation Aide (Nursing Home)

Elmora Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time & Part-Time Recreation Aide to join our team!

Schedule: Rotating shifts from 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Schedules are subject to change based on departmental needs.

Full-Time employees will be scheduled five days per week, including rotating weekends.

Pay Rate: $15.92 per hour
Payroll is processed biweekly, every other Thursday.

Position Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with residents.

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Recreation staff, Nursing, CNAs, and other departments.

• A positive, energetic, patient, and compassionate attitude when working with residents.

• Ability to lead and assist with recreational programs, group activities, special events, and one-on-one resident visits.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to follow daily activity schedules, complete required documentation, and report resident participation or concerns appropriately.

• Ability to encourage residents to participate while respecting their preferences, abilities, and individual needs.

• Dependability, punctuality, professionalism, and the ability to follow departmental policies and instructions.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure healthcare environment.

• Flexibility to assist in different units or assigned areas based on operational needs.

• Availability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to support departmental operations.

• Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
