We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educator Evaluator to join our team at Beanstalk Academy in The Bronx, New York. Job Summary:

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher (SE) Evaluator to conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to establish children's eligibility for the Early Intervention Program (EIP). As a Special Educator Evaluator, you will work with children with a range of developmental disabilities and/or chronic illnesses to help them reach their maximum potential in the areas of learning and interaction with the environment. Your expertise will be crucial in providing comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized family service plans (IFSPs) within a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess cognitive, adaptive, and overall social-emotional functioning in children from birth to 3 years old in EI programs
• Complete multidisciplinary evaluations within sufficient time to develop an IFSP within 2 weeks of referral for eligible children
• Familiarity with EI eligibility guidelines and qualifying criteria
• Conduct evaluations in home and school settings
• Write comprehensive reports complying with district standards and attentive to detail
• Maintain proper documentation to comply with state and city regulations

Requirements:

• Current Provisional and/or Permanent Certification in Special Education
• Experience conducting evaluations for students, ages birth to 3 years, in EI programs
• Ability to write legibly and type completed assignments
• Fluency in speaking and writing in the primary family language of anticipated and/or assigned client cases
• Ability to hear and speak in a manner understood by families, clients, and peers
