Job Summary
Bronxwood Assisted Living Facility is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. In this role, you’ll keep residents’ linens, towels, and personal clothing clean, organized, and returned with care. Your work helps residents feel comfortable and at home every day. Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and return linens, towels, and residents’ personal laundry following facility procedures

• Handle residents’ clothing with care, making sure items are labeled and returned to the correct resident

• Follow individual resident laundry preferences and special care instructions

• Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and report concerns to your supervisor

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely, and report any maintenance issues

• Follow infection control procedures, including proper handling of soiled linens

• Keep the laundry area clean, safe, and organized

• Maintain linen inventory and restock resident rooms and supply areas as needed

• Store and use laundry chemicals safely according to manufacturer instructions

• Respect resident privacy and follow all facility policies

• Work with housekeeping and care staff to keep laundry on schedule

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required; we will train

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Friendly, respectful manner with residents and coworkers

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs

• Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
