Assistant Food Service Director – Full-Time

Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend Required

Yorkview Nursing and Rehab is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Food Service Director to join our team. This role supports the daily operations of the dietary department and helps ensure residents receive high-quality meals and nutrition services that meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring high standards of food service.

• Supervise, schedule, and manage food service employees, including hiring and performance evaluations.

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and approved recipes while adhering to special dietary requirements.

• Monitor resident care plans to ensure dietary needs are met.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality resident care and smooth facility operations.

• Provide nutrition counseling in coordination with the registered dietitian.

• Help maintain food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.

• Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) certification preferred.

• Experience as a Dietary Director or in a similar leadership role, meeting applicable state regulatory requirements.

• Cooking experience required; prior experience in long-term care or geriatric food service preferred.

• Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
