Position Overview

Infection Preventionist RN: A skilled nursing facility in the greater Milwaukee area is seeking an RN to lead its infection prevention and control program and keep residents and staff safe.

What You Will Do

• Run the facility infection prevention and control program

• Track, analyze and report infections and outbreaks

• Lead antibiotic stewardship and immunization tracking

• Educate staff on hand hygiene, PPE and isolation practices

• Keep the program compliant with CMS, CDC and Wisconsin requirements

Qualifications

Infection Preventionist RN: here is what we are looking for.

• Active Wisconsin RN license or a multistate (compact) RN license

• Infection prevention or infection control experience in a healthcare setting (skilled nursing preferred)

• Knowledge of CMS and CDC infection control guidance

• Infection prevention certification is a plus
