Job Summary:

As an Independence Mentor with Kindly Direct Care, you will play a vital role in empowering an adult with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and live with increased independence. Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Toms River, New Jersey, focusing on community outings, everyday activities, and personal goals

• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals

• Support activities and routines according to the individual's needs and guidance

• Follow individualized instructions, prioritize safety, and complete required service documentation

• Stay in communication with the Kindly Direct Care team and keep the agreed schedule

Schedule and Location:

• Two weekday shifts per week, 5:00–8:00 p.m.

• A few additional hours on either Saturday or Sunday

• Toms River, NJ. Driving during shifts is required

Compensation:

• $17–$22 per hour

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

• Dependability and a consistent commitment to the agreed schedule; the individual and family count on it

• Patience, respect, and comfort providing one-to-one support

• Willingness to complete onboarding, background checks, and required training
