Job Summary:

At Beanstalk Academy, we are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Food Handler to join our team in the Bronx, New York. As a Food Handler Floater, you will be responsible for preparing healthy and well-balanced meals and snacks for our children, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment that meets New York City Department of Health standards. If you have a valid Food Handler's License and experience working in a foodservice program, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Food Handler at Beanstalk Academy, you will have the opportunity to work with our dedicated teachers and staff to provide a nurturing and supportive childcare experience. You will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for our children, managing the foodservice program and kitchen, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare healthy and well-balanced meals and snacks for children

• Manage the foodservice program and kitchen, including ordering food and supplies

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to New York City Department of Health standards

• Lead by example, demonstrating a professional approach and a positive attitude

• Work with our team to provide a nurturing and supportive childcare experience

• Possess excellent cooking skills and a passion for healthy eating

• Familiarity with CACFP nutrition guidelines is considered a plus

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Food Handler's License

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
