Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Human Resources / Staffing Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting recruitment and onboarding, coordinating employee schedules, and helping ensure the facility is staffed appropriately to provide quality resident care.

Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.

• Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files and ensure required documentation is completed.

• Process new-hire paperwork, background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding requirements.

• Track employee credentials, certifications, and required compliance documentation.

• Assist with employee relations, HR inquiries, attendance tracking, and general administrative matters.

• Maintain employee records and support HR reporting and audits.

• Assist with employee orientation and ensure new hires complete required onboarding and training.

• Support facility policies, procedures, and applicable employment regulations.

Staffing Coordination

• Prepare, maintain, and update daily and weekly staffing schedules.

• Coordinate shift coverage for call-outs, absences, vacations, and staffing shortages.

• Communicate with department heads, nursing leadership, and facility administration regarding staffing needs.

• Assist with recruitment efforts to fill open positions and reduce staffing gaps.

• Track overtime, attendance, vacancies, and staffing changes.

• Coordinate agency staffing when necessary and maintain accurate agency employee records.

• Help ensure appropriate staffing coverage across nursing and other facility departments.

• Maintain accurate staffing records and assist with staffing reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in human resources, staffing coordination, recruiting, or healthcare administration preferred.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or other healthcare setting is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

• Experience with HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, or employee scheduling systems preferred.

• Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
