Experienced DSP - Rachel Myers

Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a higher-acuity, behavioral one-to-one assignment in Sussex County. 

About This Opportunity 

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. Assist a 30 year old young high functioning woman with limited verbal communication. The ideal candidate must be able to remain calm under pressure, follow established behavior support strategies, and provide consistent, structured support in the home and community. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case. 

Responsibilities May Include 

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring. 

• Follow individualized behavioral and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. 

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. 

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. 

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures.

• Qualifications 

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role REQUIRED.

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. 

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening.

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently. 

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 am - -2 pm, possibly weekends
Pay: $18-$24/hr 
Location: Hopatcong, NJ
Driving on shift: REQUIRED
