Activity Leader - Join Our Team at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center!

At Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activity Leader to join our Recreational Therapy Department. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating activities and transportation of residents within our facility. Your primary goal will be to enhance the physical, social, spiritual, and psychological well-being of our residents through engaging and meaningful programs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate activities and transportation of residents within the facility

• Lead activity/recreation programs that meet the individual needs and interests of the residents, including community outings, arts and crafts, musical, religious, entertainment, social functions, cultural interests, health and wellness, support groups, and other events

• Collaborate with other departments and staff to implement activities that meet the various physical and cognitive functioning needs of our residents

• Motivate residents to attend and participate in activities, including large group events, small group programs, and individual programs

• Maintain proper documentation and follow HIPAA regulations

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience in a long-term care facility, assisted living, senior center, or working with the elderly/senior population is preferred

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of our program

• Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to motivate and connect with our residents

• Computer skills, creative thinking, and desire to better the life of those around you are required

Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 160-bed skilled nursing facility that offers short-term rehab and long-term skilled nursing services. We are conveniently located in downtown Syracuse near Syracuse University and several major medical centers. Benefits:
