What You’ll Do

As an Activity Assistant, Activities Assistant, or Activities Aide, you’ll support the Activity Director in planning and coordinating recreational activities and life enrichment programs for residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care community.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily activities, including group games, arts and crafts, music, and social programs

• Providing one-on-one visits and meaningful social interaction with residents

• Helping plan special events, celebrations, and community outings

• Assisting with volunteer coordination and participation

• Posting activity calendars and maintaining accurate activity documentation

• Encouraging resident engagement, socialization, and participation in recreational programs

• Adapting activities to meet residents’ interests and needs

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills

• Flexibility, creativity, and a genuine desire to work with seniors

• Ability to work the required schedule, including every other weekend

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, nursing homes, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred

• Activity Director or activity-related certification preferred

Previous experience as an Activity Assistant, Activities Aide, Recreation Assistant, Life Enrichment Assistant, or in senior care activities is a plus.
