Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PRN Laundry Aide to join our team in Taylorsville, NC!

As a valued member of our Laundry team, you'll help ensure our residents have clean clothing, fresh linens, and the comfort they deserve every day.

No Healthcare Experience? No Problem!

We welcome applicants with experience in laundry services, hotels, hospitality, commercial laundry, environmental services, and healthcare settings. Previous healthcare experience is NOT required!

• Location: Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Taylorsville, NC

• Employment Type: PRN (As Needed)

• Schedule: PRN shifts based on facility staffing needs

What You'll Do – Help Keep Our Residents Comfortable!

As a PRN Laundry Aide, you'll play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and proper care of resident clothing and facility linens.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Keep Laundry Fresh & Clean: Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, bedding, towels, and facility linens.

• Care for Resident Belongings: Properly handle, label, and organize personal clothing to ensure items are returned to the correct residents.

• Maintain Clean & Sanitary Linens: Follow proper laundry procedures and infection prevention guidelines.

• Keep Supplies Stocked: Monitor and restock laundry detergents, cleaning products, and necessary supplies.

• Operate Laundry Equipment Safely: Use commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to facility procedures.

• Maintain an Organized Workspace: Keep laundry rooms, equipment, and storage areas clean, safe, and organized.

• Handle Soiled Linens Properly: Follow facility protocols for collecting, transporting, and processing soiled laundry.

• Support Teamwork: Work collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, and other departments to meet resident needs.

• Report Concerns: Notify appropriate staff of equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or laundry-related concerns.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Laundry, Hospitality, Commercial Laundry, or Healthcare Experience Preferred – NOT Required!

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Dependable, Reliable & Hardworking Individuals

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety guidelines

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

• Willingness to work PRN shifts based on facility needs and availability

• Positive Attitude & Team-Oriented Mindset

• Compassionate and respectful approach when interacting with residents and coworkers
