Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented PRN Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team in Taylorsville, NC!

As a member of our housekeeping team, you'll play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

No Healthcare Experience? No Problem!

We welcome applicants with experience in housekeeping, hotels, hospitality, janitorial services, custodial work, cleaning services, and environmental services. Previous healthcare experience is NOT required!

• Position: Housekeeper

• Location: Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Taylorsville, NC

• Employment Type: PRN (As Needed)

• Schedule: Flexible PRN shifts based on facility staffing needs

What You'll Do – Help Keep Our Residents Safe & Comfortable!

As a PRN Housekeeper, you will help maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our skilled nursing facility.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain Clean & Comfortable Spaces: Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Support Infection Prevention: Follow proper cleaning, disinfection, sanitation, and safety procedures.

• Keep Our Facility Looking Its Best: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and maintain assigned areas.

• Assist With Room Preparation: Perform routine resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning according to facility standards.

• Maintain Supplies: Restock housekeeping carts, cleaning products, and necessary supplies.

• Follow Cleaning Schedules: Complete assigned duties and special cleaning projects as needed.

• Promote a Safe Environment: Properly dispose of trash and waste while following safety guidelines.

• Work as a Team: Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and other departments to maintain a clean and welcoming facility.

• Report Concerns: Notify appropriate team members of maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Housekeeping, Hospitality, Janitorial, Custodial, or Environmental Services Experience Preferred – NOT Required!

• Dependable, Reliable & Hardworking Individuals

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and infection prevention guidelines

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout assigned shifts
