The Greens at Hendersonville is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Activities Director to join our team FULL-TIME!

As our Activities Director, you will have the opportunity to bring smiles to our residents, create meaningful experiences, and make a lasting impact on their quality of life.

Position Details

• Position: Activities Director

• Location: The Greens at Hendersonville – Hendersonville, NC

• Employment Type: Full-Time

• Setting: Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care

What You'll Do – Make Every Day Count!

• Create Fun & Engaging Experiences: Plan, organize, and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activities that promote resident happiness, social interaction, and overall well-being.

• Bring Creativity to Life: Develop exciting activity calendars featuring recreational, educational, social, and therapeutic programs.

• Make Meaningful Connections: Lead group and individual activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and personal preferences.

• Build Community Partnerships: Collaborate with volunteers, families, local organizations, and community groups to enhance resident experiences.

• Promote Resident Engagement: Encourage participation and create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all residents.

• Support Quality Care: Work closely with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

• Maintain Compliance: Ensure activity programs meet applicable state and federal long-term care regulations.

• Manage Resources: Oversee activity supplies, budgets, scheduling, and program documentation.

• Make a Lasting Impact: Continuously evaluate resident participation and feedback to develop meaningful and enjoyable programs.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED Required.

• Degree in Recreational Therapy, Gerontology, or a Related Field Preferred.

• Activities Director Certification (such as NCCAP) or willingness to obtain certification, as applicable.

• Previous experience in Activities, Recreation, Senior Living, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care Preferred.

• Creative, Energetic & Compassionate Personality!

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to plan engaging activities and motivate resident participation.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with physical activities as needed.
