Active New York Speech Language Pathologist license required.

Flagstar Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team serving students in a School for the Deaf. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting communication development and helping students achieve academic and social success through individualized speech and language services.

Speech Language Pathologist Job Duties:

• Conduct speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication evaluations for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.

• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.

• Collaborate with teachers, audiologists, psychologists, interpreters, and other educational professionals to support student success.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Support students' communication development using spoken language, sign language, augmentative communication systems, and other evidence-based strategies as appropriate.

• Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding communication and language development.

• Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license.

• Knowledge of language development in deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

• Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) required.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

• W2: $60/hour
