Part-Time In Home Caregiver | Weekly Pay

Altra Homecare Group is hiring a companion caregiver for a client in Gary, IN. This is a 4 hour per week position with an immediate start. The visit can fall on any day of the week, so you pick the day that works for your schedule.

This role is a good fit if you want to add a few steady, consistent hours to your week with the same client. It is not a full-time position.

What you’ll do:

• Provide companionship and conversation

• Light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, laundry)

• Meal preparation

• Errands and grocery shopping

• Medication reminders

No hands-on personal care is required for this client (no bathing, toileting, or transfers).

What we’re looking for:

• No certification or prior caregiving experience required. Orientation and training provided.

• 18 years or older

• Live in or near Gary (Lake County area)

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance

• Able to pass a background check and TB test

• Dependable, patient, and comfortable spending time one on one with an older adult
