Activity Assistant

An activity assistant plans, coordinates, and leads recreational, social, and therapeutic programs in settings like nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community centers. They help boost the quality of life, mental health, and physical well-being of residents or participants.

• Program Implementation: Help plan and run daily group and individual activities, such as arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, and games.

• Resident Engagement: Spend one-on-one time with participants, encourage social interaction, and adapt activities to match different physical or cognitive ability levels.

• Logistics & Setup: Prepare activity spaces, set up and clean up equipment, and assist with organizing special events, birthdays, and community outings.

• Recordkeeping: Track daily attendance, log participant feedback, and report any notable changes in a resident’s behavior or health to the care team.
