Activities Assistant

(Up to 30 hrs per week. Day into evening hours. Weekends required)

Join our dynamic team at Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center as an Activities Assistant and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our senior residents. As a compassionate and energetic individual, you will help plan and lead engaging programs that foster social interaction, independence, and enjoyment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in daily programs
• Lead group activities, games, crafts, exercise programs, holiday celebrations, and special events
• Assist residents to and from activities as needed
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
• Help decorate for holidays, special events, and seasonal celebrations
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with program setup and cleanup
• Document resident attendance and participation as required
• Support the Activities Director with departmental goals and programming initiatives

Qualifications:

• Previous activities experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, senior living, or healthcare setting preferred
• Compassionate and resident-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

About the Role:
