Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to pediatric residents with complex medical needs (e.g., tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube feedings, ventilator support, seizure management).

• Perform routine health assessments, vital sign monitoring, and ongoing care evaluations.

• Administer medications, treatments, and enteral nutrition following customized physician care plans and pediatric dosage standards.

• Operate and troubleshoot specialized medical equipment (e.g., G-tubes, suction machines, oxygen therapy, pulse oximeters).

• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation in compliance with California Title 22 and healthcare standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pediatricians, therapists (PT, OT, ST), care managers, and family members to support every child's holistic development and comfort.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (Required).

• Experience:

  • Clinical pediatric nursing experience (Pediatric Special Needs, Subacute, Home Health, PICU, or Pediatric Med-Surg).

  • Prior experience with G-tubes, tracheostomies, and pediatric airway management strongly preferred.

• Certifications:

  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

• Core Competencies: Strong clinical judgment, patience, gentle bedside demeanor, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
