As our Food Service Director, you will oversee the daily operations of our cafe and restaurant, ensuring that every meal is prepared with love, care, and attention to detail. You will lead a team of skilled culinary professionals, providing guidance and coaching to ensure exceptional service and quality food presentation. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents, while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily operations of the cafe and restaurant, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation

• Manages a team of culinary professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

• Develops and maintains relationships with food suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients and competitive pricing

• Creates menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents, while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation

• Ensures compliance with all relevant food safety and health regulations

• Collaborates with other senior living team members to develop and implement resident programs and events

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a Food Service Director or similar role, preferably in a senior living or hospitality setting

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support our 24/7 senior living community
