Admission Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the admission process for new patients and residents, ensuring timely and efficient transitions

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to gather necessary information and resolve any issues that may arise

• Verify patient insurance coverage and coordinate with payors to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including patient information, admissions statistics, and compliance data

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and family inquiries, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner

Admission Coordinator Requirements:

• Must have experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting

• Must have strong grasp of medical terminology

• Prior experience as Admission Coordinator or similar field in a SNF or Hospital setting preferred

• Must be available to be on call for remote work on Alternate Weekends

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Familiarity with electronic medical records and admissions software a plus
