AdviniaCare Pawtucket, a skilled nursing facility in Pawtucket, RI, is hiring a part-time Cook. In this role, you’ll prepare nutritious, appetizing meals that meet our residents’ dietary needs and help make mealtime a highlight of their day.

This position works every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), making it a great fit for anyone looking for extra income or a flexible schedule.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and menus

• Follow therapeutic diets and texture-modified diets (such as mechanical soft and puréed)

• Ensure food is served at the correct temperature, portion size and quality

• Follow food safety, sanitation and infection control standards

• Keep the kitchen, equipment and storage areas clean and organized

• Record food temperatures and complete required logs

• Work with dietary aides and staff to ensure meals are served on time

What we’re looking for

• 1+ year of cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, institutional or high-volume setting

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Ability to follow recipes, diet orders and portion guidelines

• Dependable, team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
