Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Director of Business Development to lead referral development, strategic partnerships, and market growth for our Home Health agencies throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare business development professional with established referral relationships, strong knowledge of the home health industry, and a demonstrated history of generating consistent patient referrals.

This is a results-oriented position for an individual who understands the competitive DFW healthcare market and can independently develop new business while strengthening existing referral relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to increase qualified patient referrals and grow agency census.

• Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other referral sources.

• Identify new referral opportunities throughout the DFW metroplex.

• Conduct regular in-person visits, meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with referral partners.

• Build and maintain a strong, productive referral network.

• Collaborate with clinical, intake, and operational leadership to ensure a smooth referral and admission process.

• Monitor referral activity, conversion rates, admission trends, and overall business development performance.

• Meet or exceed established referral and admission growth targets.

• Represent the agencies professionally at healthcare networking events and community activities.

• Identify market trends, competitive opportunities, and potential strategic partnerships.

• Maintain accurate documentation of referral activities and business development efforts.
  

Required Qualifications

• Previous business development or healthcare marketing experience in the Home Health industry is REQUIRED.

• Proven track record of generating home health referrals and increasing patient census.

• Strong existing professional relationships with healthcare referral sources in the DFW market are highly preferred.

• Thorough understanding of the home health referral and admission process.

• Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and maintain long-term referral relationships.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.

• Strong understanding of healthcare marketing practices and referral compliance requirements.

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the DFW metroplex.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Director of Business Development, Director of Marketing, Account Executive, or Community Liaison within home health.

• Established relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, physicians, and other high-volume referral sources.

• Experience developing and executing territory growth plans.

• Familiarity with Medicare home health eligibility requirements and referral workflows.

• Experience managing referral pipelines and measuring business development performance.

Compensation

Annual Base Salary: $85,000–$100,000

Compensation is based on relevant experience, demonstrated performance, and existing market relationships.
