Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Livingston Manor Care Center, a unique and compassionate skilled nursing facility in Chillicothe, MO. As a Dietary Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met while promoting a positive dining experience.

About the Role:

As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control. You will also supervise a team of dietary aides and kitchen staff, provide guidance and training as needed, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your passion for delivering exceptional customer service and commitment to providing high-quality care will make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, including those with special dietary requirements

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the dietary department, including food preparation, storage, and distribution

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines

• Supervise and train dietary aides and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed

• Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory management and food waste tracking

• Collaborate with the food service team to ensure efficient and effective food service delivery

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of quality and service

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; degree in food service management or related field preferred

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in dietary management or a related field

• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
