We at Hartsville Rehab and Healthcare are seeking a dependable and dedicated Dietary Cook to join our dietary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and providing excellent food service to our residents. This role is essential to supporting residents' health, comfort, and overall quality of life in our long-term care and rehabilitation facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious, and well-balanced meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Special Dietary Needs: Prepare meals that meet residents' individual dietary needs, including therapeutic diets, texture-modified foods, and other prescribed restrictions.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen while following food safety regulations, infection control procedures, and proper sanitation practices.
• Food Handling and Storage: Ensure proper food storage, labeling, rotation, temperature monitoring, and handling to maintain food quality and prevent contamination.
• Meal Service Coordination: Prepare and coordinate meals according to scheduled serving times to ensure residents receive meals promptly and at appropriate temperatures.
• Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Inventory and Supplies: Monitor food inventory, assist with deliveries, and communicate supply needs to maintain adequate stock.
• Teamwork and Resident Satisfaction: Collaborate with dietary staff and other healthcare team members to support resident satisfaction and accommodate meal preferences when possible.
