Medical Records/Unit Clerk Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies

• Respond to requests for patient information, medications, and test results in a timely and professional manner

• Prepare and process medical records for internal and external purposes, including but not limited to, patient transfers, insurance claims, and legal proceedings

• Assist with filing, scanning, and data entry tasks to maintain an organized and efficient records storage system

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

• Collaborate with healthcare staff to resolve medical record-related issues and concerns

Medical Records/Unit Clerk Requirements:

• Prior experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills
