RN Weekend Supervisor

Location: West Orange, NJ
Schedule: PRN Weekends | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $43–$50 per hour

Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to join our nursing leadership team on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing operations during assigned shifts.

• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff to promote safe, high-quality resident care.

• Coordinate staffing assignments and address coverage needs.

• Conduct rounds to monitor resident conditions, care delivery, and staff performance.

• Perform resident assessments and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.

• Oversee medication administration and treatments for accuracy and adherence to orders.

• Review care plans and documentation, and support discharge planning.

• Assist with admissions to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.

• Address resident, family, and staff concerns, escalating issues as appropriate.

• Support regulatory compliance, survey readiness, audits, and inspections.

• Provide hands-on nursing care when needed.

• Contribute to performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

• At least one year of supervisory or management experience.

• Current CPR certification.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills.
